Starbucks

Went out for lunch ’bout an hour ago and saw this gigantic line of people — mostly highschool students — coming out from Starbucks’ door. They’re giving free samples of their new brigadeiro frapuccino — yup, that’s right, they made a brigadeiro frapuccino. Brigadeiro is the most common homemade candy in Brazil. It’s basically made out of condensed milk and chocolate. Very simple, but also very delicious. But really, it’s so Brazilian. Although it already is quite popular around here, I guess Starbucks — like all fast-food restaurants/caffes that go international — just needs to feel a little more native in order to captivate locals some more.
